Be Careful With Travel Agencies
Today there are many agencies offering destinations in Europe and all around the world. The question is, how could we really know which are the most serious that will not deceive us and whose main intention is to not simply take our hard-earned money?
We help you to recognise the most basic elements of a good travel agency in which you can have confidence.
1. No pressure – The good agency respects your hopes for your holiday. It doesn´t offer you something you really don’t want but will try to help you to find your ideal destination. Responds to each of your questions, and tells you, according to your indications, some good possibilities. It is objective, that is, it offers impartial advice and shows you the positive and negative of each destination. Remember, you have the final word, not the agency.
2. Answers questions − The good agency answers all your questions. Staff may not be able to answer completely everything that interests you, but show great intention to help and take care of their customer. In the case of not knowing how to respond, the agency staff should do everything possible to satisfy your interest. In other words, by finding the answer through calling the destination hotel, contacting the airlines or asking at the relevant tourist information centres.
3. Excellent knowledge – To know about the destinations they offer is the basic principle that a good travel agency should fulfil. If you realise that the staff have no idea of the location of the offered destinations, do not waste any more time there.
4. No contract preparation error − All data about your person, passport and in general all about your travel must be included in the contract without error. If you have special requirements such as including lunch, sea view or trips to surroundings, everything has to be written and included in the contract. The agency should also inform its customers of departure/arrival times of the plane and the right time to be at the airport, etc.
