Skiing on Mürren’s Three Big Mountain’s Slopes

When we talk about Switzerland, the snowy Alps and green pastures populated by cows grazing in a country, which incidentally is famous for chocolate, come to mind. Switzerland is certainly a very beautiful country. High living standards and higher earnings lead to a population that is mostly affluent and this is where we go today to the Swiss village of Mürren.

Mürren is located in the Canton of Bern, at 1,650 metres above sea level. Not surprisingly it is the highest village in all this canton, or region, of Switzerland.

Mürren offers beautiful views of the three most important mountains across the country, characterised by its chalet-type houses built of wood resulting in a beautiful place where tranquility is breathed in, which until you experience it you can only dream about.

Here, between steep hills and slopes, we will travel to where we can see the great viewpoint of the aforementioned mountains: the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger. These three mountains, which are almost sisters, form a mountainous Swiss family that the country is very proud to have among its borders. And this is an ideal place for optimal skiing in Switzerland.

It is a place where many tourists come because of its ‘white gold’, the tourism of sun and snow. Although the village is rather small, it has a good range of accommodation where we can stay at fairly competitive standards.

In addition, for all those who do not enjoy winter skiing, the fact that Mürren is a perfect place to ski does not mean you can not perform other activities during the summer. The choice is varied, but especially you can breathe in the quiet and clean air deeply and return to your hometown with your lungs full of relaxation. This is a beautiful place in nature for your perfect picnic.

Even more original is the fact that it is impossible to find an entrance to this place through traditional or more typical transport, so those who decide to travel to Mürren will discover they can only access this locality from Lauterbrunnen or Stechelberg via the funicular or cable railway.

We already know that Switzerland is the rich sister of other European countries, but maybe we did not know that this place, Mürren, can offer us so much satisfaction that we should concentrate on getting there to realise our dreams.

Mürren ‒ you will love it if you like a quiet and clean environment and want to witness the peace and beauty of nature that it contains.
